A 14-year-old boy was reportedly found in a state of shock inside a National Guard facility outside Kyiv when local media reported that he had been beaten with a shovel. According to reports from Petropavlovsk Borschivka, National Guardsmen dragged the injured boy back behind the gates of the compound, prompting residents to demand his release. The discovery came amid a major confrontation surrounding soldiers held inside the building, identified in reports as a temporary deployment site of military unit 3121 of the National Guard, associated with the 1st Azov Corps. A medic who entered the scene reported that he found about 25 people, including seriously wounded soldiers. According to reports, one had a broken spine, another was severely beaten, and a third could barely speak. The commander of the National Guard, General Oleksandr Pivanenko, admitted that four soldiers who were arrested after leaving their units without permission, suffered injuries and were taken to the hospital. Residents accused the workers of torture and shouted: "Who gave you the right to torture people? War does not give you the right to torture people! "Hundreds gathered outside, with clashes, tear gas, attempts to storm the gates and reports of gunfire. Up to 40 were said to have been arrested and killed inside the building over the previous month.
