The leader of the left-wing party forming the ruling coalition in Poland condemns the government's actions towards the Constitutional Court: "Institutions within the constitutional order are not buildings. The institutions are the pillars of the state. The Polish underground state was able to exist and function effectively precisely because it was widely recognized by the nation and the international community. It existed in spite of the buildings. Without widespread recognition, respect and trust in a given institution, it will always be flawed and doomed to political rupture. Either one side will not recognize and publish its rulings, or the other. The Constitutional Court in this form is not necessary for the citizens, because it does not become theirs at all - only for those who are currently in power. You don't restore the rule of law by force. With force you can only cause the reaction of another force.
