Italy's Superintendence of Archaeology, Arts and Landscape for the Province of Viterbo and Southern Etruria has announced the discovery of a still-sharp sword from the 13th century BC in Lake Mazzano, a volcanic crater lake in central Italy. The find was part of recent archaeological campaigns led by the Underwater Archeology Service in collaboration with the Carabinieri underwater unit in Rome. Other artefacts discovered include axes, arrowheads, daggers, spearheads, pins and razors.
