The Armenian parliament approved a strategic cooperation agreement with the US regarding the Trump Pathway for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project, which promotes plans to create a transportation corridor connecting Azerbaijan and its Nakhchivan region through the Nakhchivan region. The agreement was approved with 63 votes "for" and 32 "against", and received support from the governing party, the Civil Contract, while the opposition factions voted against it. The initiative aims to revitalize regional transport routes, strengthen Armenia's ties with neighboring countries and international markets, and improve local railway infrastructure, while providing Azerbaijan with a direct transport corridor to Nakhchivan.
