Britain and France trained with 2,500 troops, including 600 paratroopers, in Germany in an exercise aimed at defending NATO territory. The aircraft used were RAF A400M transport aircraft. This is the first time that forces and special equipment have been brought together on such a scale from low-altitude jumps, the Defense Ministry said. This month, the Ministry of Health agreed a £190m contract extension with Airbus, which aims to increase the number of mission-capable A400M aircraft available each day from 10 to 13 by the end of 2027.
