The leader of Spain's People's Party, Alberto Núñez Payo, said his party was ready to form a coalition with VOX. The future prime minister apparently promised to tighten abortion regulations in Spain. This concerns the removal of the change introduced by Sánchez in 2023, which allows girls from the age of 16 to have an abortion without parental consent. The Peoples Party also wants to restrict access to euthanasia and abolish the Equality Office. Peugeot also refused to confirm that it would continue to raise the minimum wage, which Sanchez has raised eight times, increasing it from €735 to €1,221. The rather modest program of changes in the center-right was described by the Spanish media as a fundamental conservative transformation of Spain. Earlier media reports suggested that there was already a preliminary agreement between PP and VOX according to which VOX would receive a deputy prime minister and the Ministry of Agriculture, but both sides deny this.
