French authorities estimate that around 410,000 people participated in riots across the country today, including around 110,000 in Paris. The organizers claim there were at least 800,000 across the country and 250,000 in Paris. About a thousand people were arrested. A positive aspect is that the police have strengthened the intensity of the response. The police realized that they could and should use force.
