Toa Payo West will be developed over the next decade to house over 6,000 new homes, with a new school possibly on the way, plus a series of green spaces and the first Toa Payo Mall. Part of wider efforts to rejuvenate one of Singapore's oldest housing board towns, proposals for the new school are being considered to meet growing demand from new families moving into the neighbourhood, National Development Minister Chee Hong Tat said on Oct 31.
