The goods should reach people at a more reasonable price. The President at the Government Information Council meeting: The government's goal is to reduce the level of inflation and the cost of living in the border districts and deprived areas of Tehran by taking operational measures. Mechanisms must be designed so that the goods reach the residents of the disadvantaged areas at a more appropriate price and price stability is maintained. The public resources of the country belong to the people and should not be distributed equally and regardless of the level of income and needs of the households. The government has the duty to direct its support to those who really need it. One of the important tasks of this council is to convince and prepare society to accept the necessity of reforming the subsidy distribution system. We must inform people about the goals and needs of this decision by discussing and explaining the logic of the policy. It cannot be accepted that the water, electricity and gas in the country are subsidized by privileged people, but the needy households do not have enough support.
