There are increasing signs that US Vice President J. Dee Vance is starting to play a political game independent of Donald Trump. Signs of this have been evident since early 2026, when Trump kidnapped Venezuelan President Maduro. At the time, both Trump and Secretary of State Rubio were actively hyped. But not Vance.
