Abdelizadeh: The Sea of Oman connects Iran to 165 countries around the world, compared to 15 neighboring countries.
Representative of the President for Maritime Development:
🔹The Sea of Oman and the coast of Makran represent two complementary but clear potentials that constitute Iran's "hidden treasure" for national development.
🔹 The Sea of Oman serves as a direct gateway linking Iran to 165 countries and international waters, beyond its 15 regional neighbors. It offers enormous opportunities for economic ties, maritime diplomacy, food and energy security, and entrepreneurship in water-based recreational activities.
🔹Unlike the marine environment, Makran coastal land cannot be quickly restored after development; Therefore, any development there is irreversible. As a result, any planning or implementation along the Makran coast must be carried out carefully, without mistakes and in line with comprehensive national strategies.
