Notice from the National Company for the Distribution of Iranian Petroleum Products regarding the misuse of smart fuel card chips.
Following the distribution of a video on social networks showing the use of the body of a Rittel SIM card for refueling at gas stations, we would like to inform our esteemed citizens:
🔹Investigations reveal that what is shown in the video has nothing to do with the functionality of the SIM card or the cellular network; Instead, it involves the potential misuse of smart fuel card chips.
🔹According to available information, some unscrupulous people separate the chips from the smart fuel cards and attach them to the bodies of the SIM cards, and then use these chips for refueling purposes. Essentially, the refueling process is carried out using the fuel card chip, while the SIM card body only serves as a holder for this chip. 🔹The Iranian National Company for the Distribution of Petroleum Products, while continuing this matter with the relevant authorities, calls on citizens to prevent any potential misuse by refraining from handing over their smart fuel cards to foreigners at gas stations and to personally monitor the refueling process.
