🔴 In what way does the slogan of anti-imperialism become a reality?
🔸 On the occasion of November 13, a panel discussion titled "Anti-Imperialism: From Theoretical Concepts to Philosophical Meanings" was held at the Humanities and Cultural Research Institute. Syed Zivakalam, Bijan Abdulkarimi and Syed Javad Miri attended the event, which was chaired by Manucher Rashdi, Head of the Strategy, Politics and Security Group. The speakers examined the relationship between anti-imperialism and republicanism and popular participation, the philosophical and metaphysical implications of the Gaza crisis, as well as the conceptual distinctions between imperialism and colonialism. 🔸During the meeting, Zivkalam criticized the limitation of anti-imperialism to foreign policy only, and emphasized the need to confront discriminatory domestic relations and strengthen independent civil society organizations. Abdulkarimi described the crisis in Gaza as an event that goes beyond a mere military operation, challenging the prevailing concepts of security, world order and the role of humanity in politics. Miri, meanwhile, questioned the connection between imperialism and colonialism, and emphasized the necessity to move beyond the superficial use of these concepts and develop a theoretical framework for understanding structures of control.
