Behind the scenes of Jolani's second visit to Saudi Arabia against the background of the conflict in Yemen.
🔹Against the background of a major crisis in Yemen in which Saudi Arabia is deeply involved and the escalation of hostilities on this front, Abu Muhammad Julani (Ahmed al-Sharaa), the interim prime minister of Syria, made his second visit to Saudi Arabia in less than a month. In Riyadh he signed several agreements, including a security cooperation agreement with Saudi Arabia.
Jolani's visit comes at a time when Damascus is in dire need of financial support, while questions remain about the nature of this security cooperation - especially in light of reports suggesting that Saudi Arabia has sought to send terrorist elements from Syria to Yemen.
