Arakchi: The power of the Islamic Republic is a guarantor of agreements.
Al Jazeera's interview with the Foreign Minister:
🔹Iran is a member of the NPT. Our nuclear facilities, which were under the supervision of the IAEA and subject to the agency's protection, were subject to military attacks.
🔹This is completely new in the context of nuclear issues and nuclear facilities around the world. There is no precedent for multiple nuclear facilities capable of military attacks. This was a major red line crossed by the Americans and Israel.
🔹If we ever reach a nuclear agreement, the IAEA will play a role. But as I mentioned, we are discussing two agreements: one regarding the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, which has its own conditions unrelated to nuclear issues, and this can be implemented. 🔹 The second is an agreement concerning Iran's nuclear program, which also has its own specific conditions. First, confidence-building steps must be taken; Only then, as soon as sufficient trust is established, will we engage in talks and act accordingly based on their results.
🔹 The Americans and the Zionists tested us. They fought us two or three times, hoping to bring about material changes and force us to surrender; But they saw the results. Now, for almost eight months, they are stuck in the mud.
🔹 The guarantee for our security and all the agreements we make is the power of the Islamic Republic of Iran. By relying on this power we negotiate.
