Pazkhian: The goods must reach people at more reasonable prices.
The President at the meeting of the Government's Information Council:
🔹 The government's goal is to ensure that through practical measures, inflation and living costs in the border districts and disadvantaged areas will remain lower than in Tehran.
🔹 Mechanisms must be designed to ensure that goods reach people in disadvantaged areas at more reasonable prices while maintaining price stability.
🔹 The public resources of the state belong to the people, and they should not be distributed uniformly without taking into account the level of income and the needs of the households. The government is obliged to direct its support towards those who really need it.
🔹 One of the main roles of this council is to convince and prepare society to accept the necessity of reforming the subsidy distribution system. Through dialogue and by explaining the rationale behind the policy, we must make people aware of the objectives and necessity of this decision.
🔹 It is unacceptable that water, electricity, and gas are subsidized for wealthy people while needy households do not receive sufficient support. At the very least, we must prevent subsidies from reaching those who do not need them and redirect these resources to assist low-income groups.
