The Minister of Foreign Affairs at the meeting of the OIC Council of Ministers:

🔹 The OIC was established to provide a collective voice to the Islamic nation and strengthen solidarity, cooperation and the protection of common interests. Keeping communication channels open is not a sign of weakness but a responsibility.

🔹 Iran will protect its people, sovereignty and legitimate interests. However, there is no contradiction between protecting our rights and striving for peace; We are aware of the damage caused by war, and it is precisely for this reason that we value peace.

🔹 Security cannot be restored by repeating past mistakes and crimes; You cannot bomb a country, threaten to destroy it, lay siege to it and then expect normal navigational security to be restored. 🔹 Through Qatar, we sent a clear seven-day plan, which states that if the necessary conditions are met, it will be possible to reopen the strait and resume normal maritime traffic within seven days. The choice now rests with the US.
