Bakai: Iran is ready to help solve problems between Saudi Arabia and Yemen in a peaceful way
Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
🔹The Islamic Republic of Iran has always been ready to put its good offices at its disposal to help end hostilities, and remains ready to use all its capabilities for this purpose at the request of both sides.
🔹Developments in the last 12 years have proven that foreign intervention, military approach and sieges are not solutions to the crisis in Yemen. For over a decade, the Yemeni people have suffered a naval and air blockade, patiently bearing the consequences of this unjust blockade - created by extra-regional actors, especially the UK and the US. It is now expected that regional countries and the Islamic world will strive to put an end to this situation. 🔹 The Islamic Republic of Iran rejects any claim regarding Iran's involvement in the Yemeni operations, and emphasizes that the solution to the Yemeni issue requires respect for the country's national sovereignty and territorial integrity, an end to any interference in its internal affairs, and above all, an end to the air and sea blockade.
🔹Yemen's armed forces act based on their interests and assessments; Such claims are not convincing to those familiar with Iran's relations with its friends. Nevertheless, Iran believes that escalating tensions does not serve anyone's interests.
