Warning to the airlines about prolonged disruptions in the airspace in Saudi Arabia
🔹According to an aviation risk management company, airlines flying to or over Saudi Arabia will face months of disruption due to missile and drone attacks.
🔹Matthew Bury, chief information officer at Sperry Flight Solutions, said airlines must assess the risk of each flight, taking into account where attacks occur, when they occur and how air defenses respond. He added that the government's warnings alone do not provide a complete picture.
For airlines, that means preparing for additional disruptions even in areas where airports remain open, Bury said.
🔹 He said that companies should carry extra fuel and examine their routing options based on the change in accessibility to the airport. The impact also extends to flights involving Gulf neighbors using Saudi airspace.
