Earthquake of magnitude 5.2 in Afghanistan The United States Geological Survey and the European and Mediterranean Seismological Center announced the occurrence of an earthquake of magnitude 5.2 in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan. The epicenter of this earthquake was reported 59 km southwest of the city of Ashashchim in the province of Badakhshan. So far no report has been published on the possible damages of this earthquake.
