US President Donald Trump has announced that he has offered the president and CEO of the UFC mixed martial arts organization, Dana White, to take over the position of White House spokeswoman.
Trump said, in a blog post on his "social truth" platform, that he was pleased to announce the offer of the role to White, describing him as a "solid fighter and fighter."
He added that he asked White to accompany his team, which includes non-American citizens, and pointed to a number of the organization's fighters, including Islam Makhachev, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Justin Gathe, Daniel Cormier, Amanda Nunes and Kayla Harris.
Trump said the team will need these people to defend itself "against the extreme left," adding: "Dana will be a White House spokeswoman like no other. Dana, please accept this assignment."
