The Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Mohsen Razai, said on Saturday that no new decision had been made regarding the change in the country's nuclear doctrine, and denied claims about the possibility of revoking the fatwa prohibiting the development or use of nuclear weapons.

Razai explained, in statements to Iranian state television, that talk of new Iranian leader Mujtaba Khamenei canceling former leader Ali Khamenei's fatwa is not based on any new decision.

In a related context, Razai confirmed that he had seen a letter sent to him by US Vice President J. Di Vance, but he has yet to respond to him and added: "Their style has changed, which is a good indicator. It strengthened the victory of the Iranian people."
