The Jordanian armed forces announced, on Monday, that they had carried out airstrikes against sites they say are linked to terrorist organizations in southern Syria, in response to an attack that targeted mourners at Hamoud Church in Karak Governorate, resulting in the death of 9 people.

According to her, the Royal Air Force carried out an operation called "Jordanian deterrence-Hamod", which destroyed several sites and vehicles and placed "dead" and "wounded" among the ranks of the targeted organizations, without specifying their names or locations in detail.

The announcement came hours after the three perpetrators of the attack in Krak were arrested, following an armed provocation in an abandoned house in the district, which, according to the directorate for internal security, ended in their injury, control and possession of weapons and equipment.

King Abdullah II confirmed, after announcing their arrest, that "terrorists will not escape punishment", while the armed forces emphasized their continued confrontation with anyone who tries to undermine the security of citizens.
