The director of football at the Egyptian Al-Ahly club, Wael Gomaa, decided to double the financial penalties on the team's players, after the 3-3 draw against Al-Kanat, on Wednesday, as part of the seventh round of the Egyptian Premier League.
Al-Ahli said, in an official statement on Thursday, that Juma'a held a lengthy meeting with the players this morning, in the presence of Moroccan technical director Hussein Amouta, to discuss the reasons for the decline in the team's performance in recent times.
In the announcement, they added that the football director talked to the players about the fact that some of them deviated from their technical and physical level for unknown reasons, and emphasized the need to correct mistakes and restore the normal level.
Jumaa emphasized that the next stage does not tolerate any negligence on the part of any party in the team, and calls on each player to check himself, evaluate his performance and take on his responsibility in order to improve the results.
The director of football stressed that Al-Ahly will not depend on any player, regardless of his name, in a message that aims to hold all players responsible for the decline in performance and work to restore victories in the next phase.
