Erdogan explained, during a speech at the opening ceremony of the line in Istanbul, that the project will be an artery that will link Anatolian production to European markets.

He emphasized that the line will be a backbone that will accelerate Turkey's achievement of its export goals, by strengthening the connection of Turkish production areas with European markets.
