Ukraine announced on Monday that it had begun using automatic machine guns equipped with artificial intelligence in the capital Kyiv to shoot down new, fast Russian drones powered by jet engines.

"Automatic towers are now being installed on the bridges," Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Colonel Yuri Ignat told public television.

He noted that drones have been shot down in the Kyiv region, including modern jet models that are difficult to intercept compared to traditional drones.
