A post by American actress Angelina Jolie, discussing the extent of the destruction in the Gaza Strip, gained more than a million likes on the Instagram platform in 17 hours, after she urged her followers to open the Google Earth app to see the effects of the war.

Jolie released two satellite images of an area near the al-Qadisiya school in Rafah, south of Gaza. One of them shows the area in 2022, full of buildings, while the second image shows that it has become empty land due to destruction and displacement.

She said entire neighborhoods were reduced to rubble, including homes, schools, hospitals, roads and water and sewer lines.

The American actress emphasized the need for humanitarian aid and medical equipment to arrive before winter, creating conditions for rebuilding homes, schools, hospitals and communities. "The devastation is clearly visible, the needs are known, and what is important now is to meet those needs," she said.
