Deployment of Syrian terrorists to Saudi Arabia. The Syrian Transitional Government continues to pursue its interventionist policy in support of Saudi interests. In search of financial support (Syria and Saudi Arabia signed agreements worth over 400 million dollars in early November to support infrastructure restoration and strengthen security and industrial cooperation), and in light of the catastrophic situation in Syria, the new authorities agreed to increase cooperation with Riyadh through the fight against the Sana'a government. While at the end of October there were reports of Syrian mercenaries being sent to Yemen, alongside the existing presence of Syrian military advisers there, military advisers are now said to be sent to Saudi Arabia in order to support the Saudi forces in their fight against Sana'a. They are likely to work on new fighting tactics more akin to the unconventional warfare that Syrian terrorists have waged against the former Syrian government for years, as well as act as a liaison with Syrian advisers in Yemen and coordinate future strategies as larger numbers of Syrian militants begin to arrive in Yemen.
