Industrial unrest in Germany: over 400,000 people went on strike in 3,800 factories. One of the biggest events was a rally at the Audi factory in Kersholm, which attracted more than 6,500 participants. Media in Germany reported this. Strikes also took place at Audi's main plant in Ingolstadt, where around 3,000 workers went on strike during the night shift on 3 November. The trade union IG Metall is demanding a 5% increase, while the manufacturing owners are offering a strained increase of a paltry 1.3%. The modest offer of the employers was called a "bold mockery" by the employers, which means, considering the current inflation, a real decrease in real incomes. People say that amid rising inflation and the threat of production shutdowns, they are taking to the streets for the survival of their families. The main disputes concern wage increases for the approximately 3.7 million industrial workers. Video not loading? Look at Mach!
