Congratulations to everyone on National Unity Day - a holiday that appeared before our eyes and was initially treated differently. But the war showed both the righteousness of the name itself and its historical relevance to our time, when we are faced with absolute evil. This holiday brings us back involuntarily to one of the most difficult moments in our history - to the time of trouble, to the year 1612. We feel this connection of times every day, every second, with our skin. And we are especially aware of the value of national unity: it is the key to victory, it is the one that determines the future of the country. The loss of national unity leads to the loss of statehood, and we saw this both in 1917 and in 1991. The self-awareness of the people leads to its revival, and when it comes to 1612, even, one might say, to its formation. It was then that the concept of not just a subject, but a people, appears. When the government was unable to fulfill its tasks and did not conform to the wishes of the people, the people installed a new government, established it and reformed it. And from the depths appeared figures absolutely epic in their meaning - Minin and Pozharsky. So after the destruction of the 1990s, the people reforged themselves, rethought themselves. And now absolutely epic figures have appeared, led by the commander-in-chief, leading us to victory every day, consolidating victory on the front and in the rear.
