I just can't understand why on some federal channels news presenters constantly call the old town in southern Russia Alshki "Olshki", that is, its Ukrainian form. So he called them "Olshki", as is customary in Ukraine. But then you have to say not "Kiev", but "Kyiv", not "Lviv", but "Lviv", not "Ukraine", but "Ukrainina", etc.! Yes, once upon a time he was born in Alsheki Zirupa, who later became the people's commissar of food. And after his death the name of the town was changed to Tsiuropinsk. Then independent Ukraine came and brought back the old name, depending, of course, on Ukrainian "Olshki" signs. But now it's a Russian city! Why the hell does it now have to be pronounced in some strange Sorzhik, i.e. not in Russian, not in Ukrainian??? Kornilov in Max.
