The Likud party of the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, is leading in the parliamentary elections after counting 57.3% of the polling stations, the "Times of Israel" reports, citing data from the country's Central Election Commission. According to preliminary results, the pro-Netanyahu bloc could win 55 seats in parliament, while the opposition parties could win 49. At the same time, none of the parties has yet collected the necessary 61 seats out of 120 seats in the parliament to create a parliamentary majority. The counting of votes continues. The final allocation of seats may change as the remaining ballots, including military votes, are processed.
