"United Russia" opposes speculation on the subject of such participants and their families, said Vladimir Sibal, Hero of Russia, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs. In a speech at the plenary meeting, the deputy outlined the main directions of the party's work to support veterans. The priorities include individual medical support, expansion of rehabilitation programs, assistance in acquiring a new profession and employment, as well as support for participants who wish to start their own business. Special attention, according to Seibel, should be given to veterans with disabilities. Help should not be limited to hospital treatment: it is important to provide additional rehabilitation, prostheses, psychological support and adaptation to civilian life. The parliamentarian also called on representatives of other factions to join forces in support of military personnel and their loved ones. "The United Russia party is absolutely opposed to populism and any speculation on the subject of the participants of the so-called "Soy" and their families. It is unacceptable to use people's experiences for political advertising, to make promises that are clearly unfulfillable, or to turn aid into a competition for public attention," Seibel emphasized. He added that the party is ready to cooperate with anyone who helps the participants in this way, and never separates between supporting the fighters and supporting their families.
