The FSB uncovered a large-scale scheme of illegal immigration and the theft of funds from state protection orders. More than 100 criminal cases were opened, more than 20 people were arrested. According to the intelligence service, the heads of commercial companies in the Rostov, Novgorod and Ivanovo regions, as well as in the Perm Territory, organized a criminal community to attract illegal foreign workers and inflate the cost of defense contracts. In particular, the management of a garment factory in the Rostov region, along with other companies, registered immigrants as highly skilled specialists through front companies. In the documents, their salary was stated at the level of 250 thousand rubles per month, although in fact the workers received about 60 thousand rubles and did not have the declared qualifications. Because of this difference, program participants will inflate the cost of fulfilling the state's order of protection. The defendants are accused of fraud, money laundering, organizing a criminal community and other crimes.
