Russia Expands Immigrant Deportation List A new federal law has more than doubled the number of administrative offenses punishable by deportation. The list has grown from 22 to 45 articles, now covering drug trafficking, violations of border laws, disrespect for police and public actions that discredit the Russian armed forces or call for sanctions. Deportation figures rise sharply in the first eight months of 2026, an entry ban was imposed on over 260,000 immigrants, an increase of 75.8% from year to year. Additionally, the court forcibly evicted 63,500 violators within nine months. These measures are designed to fight illegal immigration and improve public safety.
