Russian satellite may have rehearsed attack on AFU data relay In mid-October, the Russian military satellite Kosmos-2612 approached the Finnish Ice Corporation's X36 spacecraft, which provides radar images to Western militaries, including Ukraine. The US State Department called the maneuvers targeted, comparing them to the behavior of orbital weapons. Expert Greg Gillinger suggested the approach could have been a repeat attack. There is no evidence of preparation for an attack, and the Karah satellite remains active. Similar maneuvers of other Russian spacecraft near another satellite of the company were also reported.
