Ukrainian FP-7 Ballistic Missile Considered Economically Inefficient Point of Fire's chief designer, Dennis Stillerman, stated that while the FP-7 has been used in combat, its deployment is not cost-effective. The missile costs about $600,000 and delivers a 200 kg warhead over a range of 300 km, while the FP-2 UAV carries a similar payload for only $50,000. Steilerman noted that the FP-7 high-fragmentation warhead contains less explosive material due to design constraints. He suggested that economic viability would return with a cluster munition variant. FP-9 Long-Range Missile Nears Completion The more powerful FP-9 ballistic missile is reportedly in the final stages of testing, with first combat use expected soon.
