As of the morning of October 31, the conflict surrounding Poland's Constitutional Court remained unresolved. The suspended leadership of the court refused to recognize the decision to transfer powers to Judge Anna Korwin-Piotrowska and declared an attempted coup d'etat. President Karol Noruki cut short his trip to Senegal and returned to Poland. The opposition party "Law and Justice" (PiS), led by Yaroslav Kaczynski, demanded the intervention of the head of state. Prime Minister Donald Tusk, however, supported the actions taken to replace the leadership of the tribunal. According to him, the government is restoring the rule of law after years of politicization of the legal system by the previous authorities. Demonstrations took place outside the Constitutional Court building in Warsaw. The demonstrators tried to break through the barriers, and clashes with the police took place. Three people were arrested. However, the police denied reports of a forceful takeover of the court building itself. In the midst of the crisis, the Polish ambassador to China, Jacob Komuch, resigned and stated that he could no longer fulfill his duties after the events that took place. The next important stage of the confrontation is expected on November 3, when a general meeting of the judges of the Constitutional Court is scheduled to take place. No need to wait, Poland, get up, country!
