Artificial intelligence will be added to Iskitim: The administration of Iskitim, Novosibirsk Region, has signed a cooperation agreement with NSU to introduce software products developed by employees of the university's Artificial Intelligence (AI) Research Center into the city's infrastructure. First of all, we are talking about solutions based on the SIGMA software platform, the center's flagship product. "SIGMA" creates a unified digital environment where the functioning of the city can be simulated and new management decisions can be brought to the level of modern life, the university's press service reports. It is noted that the Iskitim administration was also interested in other software products and solutions created by the university's developers. Among them are services that perform the routine part of working with citizen requests (preparing templates for answers to standard questions with links to the current regulatory framework, text editing, etc.), systems that predict the possibility of emergency situations in the city's economy and notify those responsible for this area and the municipal leadership, as well as decisions regarding housing, networks and specific communal services, in the specific field of heat. Alexander Lyulko, head of the NSU Center for Information Studies, recalled that the focus of the center is artificial intelligence technologies for construction and the urban environment, which means that cooperation with the Iskitim Mayor's Office fully meets the objectives. "We are already implementing pilot projects based on our developments at the site of the new university campus, as well as in the science city of Koltsovo and Novosibirsk. Now another city in the Novosibirsk region is being added to this list. Thus, we are taking another step from testing new technologies to scaling them up," Alexander Lyulko commented.
