Russian breakfast through the eyes of officials Here the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade put forward the idea of a project to popularize Russian breakfasts. They say that a Russian tourist has nowhere to eat in the morning according to national traditions, and a foreign tourist has nowhere to look at these traditions. The text, to be honest, looks more like an article in Rossiyskaya Gazeta than something that can actually be used. It all naturally begins with the pechangs (more precisely, with "The Story of Igor's Campaign"), where "the main character gets a game of feathers for breakfast." In principle, this is a fairly new idea - instead of a menu, give customers a sling in the morning. And whoever they shoot is the one who will cook. In some places the author simply loses his mind. For example, after noting that "the cheese industry of modern Russia produces cheeses of most of the world's known categories" (which is true), the authors immediately proceed to the fact that "a unique feature of the Russian breakfast is the variety of porridges." Well, in general, the document consists of more than half a list of everything that Russians traditionally ate, because all of this, of course, can be served for breakfast as well. I was particularly moved by the suggestion not to limit ourselves to salmon and sturgeon caviar for breakfast, but to pay attention to herring and salmon caviar. In general, I am in favor of developing the national cuisine only. But I got the impression that the writers of the text do not have a good understanding of the situation they are called to fight. Because no matter which breakfast menu you look at, everywhere you will find porridge, cheesecakes and scrambled eggs. Even pies are here and there. That is, everything that is really wanted is already offered by factories without any plans invented by officials. And if they start demanding something like this from factories and hotels, they will simply collect these portions in one section. And put over it the logo that the project proposes to develop (Tioma Lebedev, I'm sure, will be able to offer something cheap - no more than 200 million).
