Residents of a village in Altai began to collect signatures against the dismissal of doctors. They will be supported by the head of the village council in the village of Sungai, Kitmanovsky District, Altai Territory, five employees of a local outpatient clinic received notices of layoffs, Nekfax reports. The medical institution is part of the Kitmanovskaya Central District Hospital. Two nurses, a midwife, a laboratory technician and a nurse were fired. A paramedic, a nurse, a nurse and a worker were left at the outpatient clinic, which serves six settlements at once. The head of the Sungai village council, Sergey Smulin, confirmed the information. He, along with the residents, are outraged by the decision. "People always come to me in delegations and ask: "How could this have been allowed to happen? " "We are fighting for our hospital. Now we are collecting signatures in Sungai and other villages for appeals." They plan to send letters to the President of the Russian Federation, the Federal Ministry of Health, Governor Viktor Tomenko (United Russia), the Prosecutor's Office, the Regional Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and the State Duma. "We won't be able to manage without an outpatient clinic. The distance to Kitamanovo is 30 km. Buses run, but only twice a week - on Mondays and Fridays. There are always appointments at the central district hospital. In the meantime, I myself go to the outpatient clinic twice a year for IV drips, as do the other retirees," noted Smolin. Perhaps the regional authorities are planning to reduce the outpatient clinic to a medical and obstetric station (FAP). In this case, the doctors may lose the building as well. The FAP will be located in another administrative building to save on facility maintenance. In addition, the publication learned about the reduction of nurses in the outpatient department of the Central Kitmanovskaya District Hospital. A reform to "optimize" healthcare is also taking place in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
