In the Irkutsk region, employees of schools and cultural centers began to be laid off due to problems with funding, the districts of the Irkutsk region are forced to lay off employees of budgetary institutions, said the head of the city district of Nizhnyelmsk Pavel Berzovsky (United Russia). "There are big problems in the budget, we are cutting expenses. We cannot afford all the activities we would like to do, such as repairs and purchases. But the situation is getting worse; Now we have reached the point where in planning the budget for next year, we are forced to fire the employees of the administration and budgetary institutions. This is not only a problem for our region, but also for our region and for other countries." Berezovsky said on his Telegram channel. Layoffs will affect schools, sodas for children and cultural institutions. The official claims that the night guards will be cut "first of all". In addition, some of the employees of the service center and the municipality of Clean City, who deal with the maintenance of municipal infrastructure and administrative buildings, will be laid off. Berzovsky claims that the layoffs "started in the administration" and that by 2027, 37% of the employees will be fired. At the same time, the urban reform led to such reductions - the district became a district, and the village councils were eliminated. The residents lost dozens of municipal deputies, and the rural administrations - where they remained - became divisions of the district administration. The technical staff of the social institutions was also cut in the district of the Chunsky municipality. "Minus four guards and four stalkers for each institution. I am very sorry for the people. But otherwise we won't even have money for the light for that facility," says Mayor Nikolai Khrichov. The layoffs begin after the State Duma elections, in which United Russia received, according to the Central Election Commission, 349 out of 450 mandates. Pavel Berzovsky heads the party's Nizhnyelmsk branch, Khrichov heads the Chunsky branch, and the governor of the Irkutsk region, Igor Kobzev, heads the regional branch.
