Alush pointed out that Syrians with foreign citizenships are allowed to leave Syria through any of the land crossings with Turkey, with the intention of moving (crossing) to their country of residence, regardless of their method of entry into Syria, whether through Turkey, neighboring countries or airports in Syria.
He pointed out that the Turkish side demands, at the crossings in front of Al-Salma, Al-Rai and Tal Abiad, that Syrians who hold foreign citizenships, with the exception of those with Turkish citizenship, must present a valid Syrian passport, provided that their personal data matches the data of the foreign passport, in order to allow them to leave.
He noted that these instructions are given by the Turkish authorities, and are subject to amendment or cancellation without prior notice, with the possibility that their implementation mechanisms differ from one outlet to another.
