Civil Defense teams respond to 19 fires throughout Syria and record one civilian injury Details: Yesterday, Thursday, November 5, Syrian Civil Defense teams at the Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management responded to 19 fires throughout Syria. The fires included homes and shops, in addition to grass, trees, trash and power lines, as crews worked to extinguish, cool and secure their location. The fires caused the injury of one citizen who received the necessary first aid, while the rest of the damage was limited to substantial losses. The teams reminded people of the necessity not to start fires in wooded areas and agricultural fields, and to avoid throwing cigarette butts or glass containers on the sides of the roads, especially near crops and forests. The teams emphasized to avoid burning dry weeds around houses or on roadsides, and to dispose of them in safe ways in order to maintain public safety.
