Planting of more than 3,000 trees on the first day of the National Environment Day activities in Aleppo Details: The National Environment Day activities began today, Sunday, under the auspices of the Aleppo Governorate and in cooperation with the City Council, the Directorate for the Environment and Civil Defense, with the aim of expanding the green areas and improving the environmental reality. On the first day, 3,177 trees were planted in the cities of Azaz, Afrin, Al-Bab and Manbij, of which 1,850 trees were distributed in Azaz, 650 in Afrin, 500 in Al-Bab and 177 in Manbij. A number of board members, district and block officials and residents participated in the activities, provided that the activity will continue with the participation of service and environmental officials, volunteers and cleaning workers, to increase environmental awareness and encourage community participation.
