Aleppo Water Resources begins maintenance of irrigation projects and pumping stations ahead of the agricultural season. Details: The Aleppo Water Resources Directorate has begun periodic and seasonal maintenance and rehabilitation work for irrigation projects and pumping stations in the rural areas of the governorate, in preparation for the upcoming agricultural season. The work includes the Maskana West, Maskana East, and Al-Mansoura projects, aiming to raise the readiness of the irrigation system and improve its operational efficiency. Pouring work on the main channels in the Al-Matan project has begun with quantities exceeding one thousand square meters at the sixth farm in cooperation with international organizations, alongside preparing suspended channels using the directorate's mechanisms and cadres. Preparations are underway to begin pouring work at the Maskana Sharq project farms in the coming days, in addition to repairing suspended canals in various projects following the cessation of irrigation on October 15. The plan includes insulating drains and exposed main canals, and carrying out maintenance on the main and joint pumping stations, in a manner that improves the efficiency of water transfer and distribution, reduces disruptions, and supplies water to the lands on time. The General Authority for Water Resources thanked the technical staff, workers, and project departments for their efforts in implementing the work, which will enhance project readiness and support the stability of the agricultural process in the governorate.
