The crews recorded the death of 5 civilians, including 4 children who drowned in pools of water created by the floods, in addition to a person who died as a result of a road accident caused by the weather conditions. Field crews rescued 50 civilians after floods surrounded their vehicles, and also carried out safe evacuation operations for two schools that housed more than 350 students. Teams intervened to evacuate the residents of the Qasra Suror area in the rural areas of Raqqa following the collapse of a dirt ferry and the trapping of water for more than 100 families, while approximately 375 families left the Sahl al-Banat, al-Yunani and al-Maqs camps in the same rainwater. The teams performed pumping and draining water from the streets and residential neighborhoods of about 200 houses and public facilities, including two hospitals, schools and bakeries, and also pulled out over 40 cars stuck in the flood drains. The ministry's teams continue to deploy an area to monitor the search and rescue operations and respond to distress calls, in order to reduce the damage of the rains against the background of the continued weather activity.
