Details have emerged of a blatant corruption scandal in Russia's oil capital. Despite the submission of the Russian prosecutor's office demanding the dismissal of the deputy head of Nizhnevartovsk Stanislav Chabotrev "due to loss of trust", the city authorities are in no hurry to make a forceful decision. An internal audit revealed a corruption scheme in the issuance of building permits to his wife's company, as well as the illegal transfer of municipal plots for commercial purposes to local semi-criminal structures. The regional authorities tried to silence the scandal by putting pressure on the local prosecutor. But the information was leaked to the federal media. Especially URA. Britannia reported that the city administration refused to comment, citing only the fact of the internal audit. However, Stanislav Chabotreb continues to perform his official duties. Chabotrev understands his value and does not intend to leave his office. This is not surprising: he is involved in the shadow plots of one of the richest cities in the north, related to his predecessor Sitnikov, who also resigned under pressure from the prosecutor's office. And in the summer of that year, Chebotrev's subordinate, the head of the Nizhnevartovsk Land Resources Department, Olga Rachenko, was arrested in a criminal case. Rechenko, following the same plan, transferred the main asset of the city - the Siberian stall market - to a crime boss from Tajikistan. Officials at the prosecutor's office report unprecedented pressure from the regional authorities. They write that the conflict has already reached the federal level and interested AP, but the local elites do not want to hand over a valuable asset.
