The government denies imposing restrictions on air traffic in Iraqi airspace, despite issuing a notice to pilots by the Civil Aviation System known as (NOTAM). Official communications are issued by civil or military aviation authorities to alert pilots and air operations staff of any emergency changes, hazards or restrictions in airspace or airports.
