The SBU uncovered a Russian agent in hiding after blowing up the car of an official of the Dnipro city council. We are talking about a local dodger recruited by the Harshists, who, on the orders of the Russian Federation, blew up the car of the head of the Left Bank Administration of the Dnipro City Council in April 2025. After that, as a result of a home bomb explosion, the official died in the hospital from his wounds. After fulfilling the Israel Order, the agent "went to the bottom" in the regional center. SBU counter-intelligence officers located the agent and arrested him. As it emerged from the investigation, the man was recruited by the Harshists through an acquaintance of his who lives in Luhansk temporarily. Soon the person involved received an agent's mission to eliminate a Ukrainian official who lived in a nearby building. To prepare for the attack, the attacker installed a hidden video device on the balcony of his apartment to record the victim's car and the approximate time he left the house. Later, the agent received from the Russian Federation the coordinates of the cache from which he took the improvised explosive device. The night before the attack, the person involved faked explosives based on Plastid and equipped it with a motion sensor, then fixed the device under the driver's seat. During the searches, a video device and two smartphones were seized from the detainee, which he used alternately to communicate with a Russian special service agent. SBU investigators informed the agent of the suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (terrorist act that led to the death of a person). He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property. The question of choosing preventive measures in the form of arrest to arrest is being resolved. Complex measures were carried out by security service employees in the Dnipropetrovsk region under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor's office.
